Lightning set a house on fire, spread to two neighbouring houses - firefighters prevented further damage

A lightning strike on Saturday at 1:15 PM caused a fire in a house located on Milan Valković Street, owned by a 73-year-old woman. The fire spread to the roof structure of another house owned by a 70-year-old woman and then to the roof of a third house owned by a 59-year-old man. Police stated that the material damage has not yet been assessed. Thanks to the quick report by citizens, the fire was extinguished in its initial stage, preventing greater material damage. Local volunteer firefighting units from Požega and Kaptol assisted in extinguishing the fire.
