Large corporations can no longer throw away unsold fashion.

The European Union has implemented new regulations effective today, prohibiting large companies from destroying unsold clothing and shoes. Under this directive, businesses must either resell or donate the items instead of discarding them. Exceptions apply if the goods are dangerous, damaged, or contaminated, or if they were offered to social welfare institutions within the EU but not accepted within a specified timeframe. Smaller companies will see these rules come into effect later. The measure aims to reduce waste and promote sustainability.

Bias read (Center): The article presents the new EU regulation as a neutral fact, focusing on the implementation and exceptions without overtly criticizing or praising the policy. It provides balanced information about the requirements and exemptions without leaning toward any particular ideological stance.
