The City of Zagreb has launched its third cycle of the 'Daj prijedlog za bolji kvart!' (Give a proposal for a better neighborhood!) initiative, inviting citizens from 13 city districts to submit proposals for improving their local public spaces between July 6 and August 16. The program allows residents to directly participate in deciding on local community investments through voting. This year’s cycle includes new features such as a longer submission period and expanded participation across more districts compared to previous years. A total budget of 1.762 million euros has been allocated by the City Councils of individual districts for implementing projects chosen by voters. Citizens can propose initiatives like building stairs, pedestrian paths, traffic infrastructure improvements, parks, green areas, playgrounds, dog parks, and other public spaces. Selected proposals will be voted on by residents from late October to the end of November.
