The city of Rijeka is investing three million euros: the renovation of Maestrala with European money, and Oblačić with city money

The city of Rijeka plans to invest €1.5 million in the energy renovation of the Maestral kindergarten and €1.1 million in the Oblačić kindergarten. The projects aim to improve energy efficiency through measures such as insulation upgrades, new heating systems, photovoltaic panels, and smart metering. Both projects are part of a public call for funding under the Competitiveness and Cohesion program, which allows up to 80% of costs to be covered by non-repayable funds. Due to construction work, new children were not admitted this year, while existing ones were relocated. For Oblačić, temporary housing for children will be arranged at the Gelsi Primary School, previously used by a small group of children from the Topolino kindergarten.
