Indonesia strengthens IP protection to boost small, medium industries

Indonesia's Ministry of Industry is enhancing intellectual property (IP) protections to support small and medium industries (SMIs), aiming to improve product value and competitiveness. Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that IP protection provides legal certainty and helps businesses build brand identity and consumer trust. He noted that industrial competition now includes the ability to create and protect unique designs, brands, and innovations.
