A survey conducted by the Chamber of Skilled Workers of the Primorsko-Goranska County (OKPGŽ) among over 700 small business owners operating under the flat tax regime (paušalni obrti) reveals significant concerns about new anti-inflation measures proposed by the government. These measures include increasing taxes and contributions for these businesses, which could lead to higher prices and mass closures of small businesses. According to the survey, 64.9% of respondents confirmed they would have to raise their product and service prices due to increased costs, while nearly 30% seriously consider closing their businesses. The report highlights that these policies risk pushing parts of economic activity into the informal sector and hinder long-term development of local economies.
