Gardaí conclude fresh Wicklow searches for Dullard, Jacob

Deirdre Jacob, 18 years old at the time, was last spotted on 28 July 1998 while returning home from school. Witnesses described her as wearing a navy v-neck T-shirt with white trim, black jeans, and blue Nike sneakers. She was carrying a distinctive black satchel with "CAT" printed in large yellow letters, though the bag has never been recovered.

The investigation into both cases gained new momentum earlier this year when the authorities upgraded the status of both disappearances to murder inquiries. This decision followed a reassessment of available evidence and the persistence of family members and advocates seeking justice.
