Russian naval vessels have arrived at the port of Qingdao ahead of the joint Chinese-Russian military exercise 'Joint Sea 2026.' The exercise, scheduled to take place in the waters and airspace near Qingdao, eastern China, involves both countries' navies. According to China's Ministry of Defense, the drill aims to prepare a coordinated response to maritime security threats and maintain peace and stability in the region. The exercise will include three phases: troop assembly, planning in the harbor, and sea operations. Both sides will conduct joint reconnaissance, air defense, anti-missile defense, and maritime strike operations, among other training scenarios.
