The main football pitch and small-sided football pitch at Partizan in Ljudski Vrt, which were built over twenty years ago and have become worn out, will be renovated by the company FS Group for €958,806. This decision was made through a public procurement process by the city of Maribor. Initially, the bid by FS Group was invalidated after the municipality reviewed the bids again, but it was later reinstated after further checks confirmed that FS Group’s offer met all requirements, including the FIFA Quality Pro standard for artificial turf. The winning bid came after another company, VBT, was disqualified due to non-compliance with technical standards, while Lesnina MG Oprema reduced its bid to €1.13 million. The renovation includes repairs to the rubber base, elevation adjustments, drainage improvements, installation of new artificial turf with a cooling system, new goals, energy-efficient lighting, and a new metal fence. The old artificial turf from the main pitch will be used to resurface the small-sided pitch.
