The series, a young adult mystery adventure set along the Outer Banks of North Carolina, features her character Sofia as more active than ever. Known for her roles in Mexican films such as ¡Qué despadre! and El rommie, both of which became among the most-watched national films post-pandemic, Palomo now finds herself in a new role, playing a part that involves running, hiding, and enduring simulated hurricanes and heavy artificial rain during filming. The actress, who once dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow, the iconic character portrayed by Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, recalls how that early fascination with adventure and storytelling shaped her career path. “There were many action scenes, I ran a lot, hid, there were fake hurricanes we played with, and intense artificial rain where you couldn’t see where the cameras were,” she explained. “It’s exhausting, especially with all the repetitions, but the adrenaline is high and it’s very fun.” Palomo's performance in Outer Banks marks another step in her growing international presence. She recently completed work on the Spanish film Lucidez, co-starring Oscar Casas, and is currently in post-production on the Mexican film Jardínes del bosque, which premiered internationally at the Raindance Film Festival.
