FG approves ₦46 billion for Kano airport runway rehabilitation

The Nigerian federal government has allocated ₦46 billion for the rehabilitation of the primary and secondary runways at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA). The announcement was made by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during the commissioning ceremony of the newly upgraded Dankabo Domestic Terminal at the airport in Kano. This funding marks a significant step toward modernizing aviation infrastructure and enhancing the passenger experience nationwide. The minister confirmed the approval during a public event held on Tuesday, which included the unveiling of the upgraded terminal. According to Keyamo, the upgraded terminal is intended to provide a more efficient and high-quality experience for all travelers passing through MAKIA.
