F: Jewelry worth millions stolen from Lalique museum

A burglary occurred at the Lalique Museum in Wingen-sur-Moder, Alsace, where jewelry worth several million euros was stolen. Approximately 20 pieces were taken during an intrusion around 5:30 AM, according to AFP. The thieves bypassed security alarms and directly entered the jewelry room. A cleaning staff member arrived at the scene and alerted the gendarmerie. The museum, which opened in 2011 and is dedicated to René Lalique, a prominent Art Nouveau and Art Deco jeweler and glassmaker, has closed temporarily to ensure a safe reopening.
