First figures since the IPO Space SpaceX records steep losses, but doubles sales

Since its stock market debut, SpaceX has reported significant losses but has doubled its revenue compared to the previous year. The space exploration and telecommunications company recorded a loss of $541 million in the second quarter, adding to losses of over $13.6 billion accumulated over the past three and a half years. Despite these losses, CEO Elon Musk continues to invest heavily in research and development for new rockets and artificial intelligence, with investments reaching $28 billion in the first half of the year. SpaceX operates in three main areas: Starlink, which provides satellite internet and has grown rapidly with 12 million subscribers; rocket launches for satellites, where SpaceX is a global leader; and artificial intelligence, including data centers and the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. While the overall company remains unprofitable, Starlink is currently the only profitable segment.
