Investigation of Nevrivy, head of the SPÖ district for small gardens, terminated

The investigations against Ernst Nevrivy, the district leader of Donaustadt and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ), regarding the purchase of a small garden plot have been discontinued. The district leader was previously suspected of inciting abuse of office and prohibited intervention. According to the prosecution, no evidence of misuse of power or improper influence could be proven against Nevrivy. Additionally, the investigation against another accused person was dropped due to lack of proof of intent to cause harm. No illegal behavior by officials from the municipal department responsible for neighborhood planning and land allocation was found. Nevrivy purchased the property in 2020 and the land was rezoned for construction in 2021, leading to accusations that he benefited from the change. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing but admitted that the situation appeared 'not optimal.' Recently, he was acquitted in the first instance in the Wienwert case.

Bias read (Center): The article presents the discontinuation of legal proceedings against a political figure without overtly favoring either side. It includes statements from both the accused and the prosecution, providing balanced information without apparent bias toward the SPÖ or the opposing side.
