Egypt’s Burullus Gas Company announced plans to start producing natural gas from the West Mina project in early December 2026, according to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The initial output is projected at 160 million cubic feet per day. During a visit by Sayed Selim, Executive Managing Director of Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), to Burullus Gas headquarters, discussions focused on ongoing and future production initiatives. These include an acid stimulation program aimed at boosting output by 40–60 million cubic feet per day by September 2026, as well as progress on reconnecting the Sepia Da well using TCP technology and conducting a 4D seismic survey. Selim emphasized the need for accelerated project implementation, especially for Phase 12A, set to begin production in 2028.
