The Slovenian Parliament (DZ) is considering amendments to traffic regulations, including changes to alcohol testing methods for drivers and rules regarding driving without constant steering control in vehicles equipped with approved automated driving systems. According to proposed legislation, alcohol indicators would only serve as preliminary tests to detect the presence of alcohol, after which drivers would undergo further testing with an ethylometer or professional examination. The changes aim to align Slovenian law with recent regulatory approvals for advanced autonomous driving systems, such as those developed by Tesla. Additionally, the parliament will vote on proposals related to consumer credit laws and consumer protection, aiming to strengthen consumer rights in credit agreements, online purchases, and green claims. In a confidential vote, the DZ will also decide on appointing Arjana Brezigar to the Board of the Bank of Slovenia.
