Dubai gold prices bounce back, 22K moves closer to Dh500 per gram

Gold prices in Dubai increased on Tuesday as the US dollar weakened and investors sought guidance. According to the Dubai Jewellery Group, the price of 24K gold opened at Dh534.75 per gram, rising from Dh530.75 per gram on Monday. Prices for other karats such as 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K also saw gains, reaching Dh495.0, Dh474.75, Dh407.0, and Dh317.5 per gram, respectively. Globally, spot gold rose by half a percent to $4,432 an ounce, while silver climbed nearly one percent to $66.93 an ounce. Chris Weston from Pepperstone noted that gold remains in a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers but suggested the risk balance slightly favors an upward trend. He highlighted the significance of Shanghai gold futures and the People's Bank of China's continued gold purchases, which could influence global gold prices.
