Disney and Marvel Studios have officially announced the cast and release date for the long-awaited X-Men reboot, marking a major milestone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The new film, titled X-Men: Legacy, will debut in theaters on May 5, 2028, following its premiere at the D23 Expo on August 15. This announcement was made by Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, who revealed the casting lineup during a special presentation. While he noted that the current roster includes some of the most exciting young talents in Hollywood, he hinted that additional well-known names could join the project in the future. The reboot will feature Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, the founder and mentor of the X-Men. Alongside him, Kit Connor will take on the role of Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops. Sadie Sink, star of the hit series Stranger Things, has been cast as Jean Grey, one of the most powerful mutants in the franchise.
