It's good to know!

On June 29, 2026, the renewed eSodstvo portal began operations, marking an important step in the digitization of Slovenia's judiciary and improving user access to electronic services related to justice. The portal operates under a single-entry point principle, offering users clearer and simpler access to judicial electronic services while enhancing transparency and security in digital transactions between the judiciary and users. A significant update includes the introduction of a new security scheme using the national SI-PASS service, allowing users to log in via various levels of electronic identification, including e-ID cards and SMS-based authentication. To support the portal’s launch, the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia, updated several regulatory legal frameworks governing electronic court procedures. These changes were published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia (numbers 1061/26, 1062/26, 1063/26, and 1055/26). The initiative aims to improve efficiency, modernize court operations, and provide broader access to legal services for citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders.

Prenovljeni portal izboljšuje uporabniško izkušnjo, povečuje preglednost digitalnih storitev in zagotavlja večjo varnost pri elektronskem poslovanju sodstva s strankami in drugimi uporabniki.

Pomembna novost prenovljenega portala je uvedba nove varnostne sheme sodstva, ki omogoča prijavo v portal in njegove podportale prek nacionalne centralne storitve za spletno prijavo in podpisovanje SI-PASS. To omogoča uporabo različnih sredstev elektronske identifikacije najmanj srednje ravni zanesljivosti, vključno z elektronsko osebno izkaznico, SMS-pass in drugimi možnostmi, ki jih podpira centralna storitev SI-PASS.

Sprejete so bile spremembe in dopolnitve več podzakonskih aktov, vključno z:

- Pravilnik o spremembah in dopolnitvah Pravilnika o elektronskem poslovanju v civilnih sodnih postopkih in v kazenskem postopku (Uradni list RS, št. 1061/26),

- Pravilnik o spremembi Pravilnika o elektronskem poslovanju v postopkih zaradi insolventnosti (Uradni list RS, št. 1062/26),

- Pravilnik o spremembah Pravilnika o obrazcih, vrstah izvršb in poteku avtomatiziranega izvršilnega postopka (Uradni list RS, št. 1063/26),

- Pravilnik o spremembah Pravilnika o zemljiški knjigi (Uradni list RS, št. 1055/26).

Te spremembe so vključile dodatne predpise za uporabo elektronske zemljiške knjige, izvršilne postopke in druge elektronske storitve, kar omogoča sodiščem bolj učinkovito in sodobno poslovanje. Digitalne rešitve omogočajo strankam lažji dostop do sodnih storitev, medtem ko sodiščem omogočajo izboljšano učinkovitost in zmanjšanje administrativnih obremenitev.

The minister wasn't prepared to share plans with the chief prosecutor.

The article reports on a meeting between the Slovenian Minister of Justice and the General State Prosecutor, where they discussed challenges facing the judiciary, including improving efficiency, reducing case processing times, and digitization. The minister described the session as constructive and informative, highlighting shared goals of making corruption prosecution more effective. However, the discussion did not include updates on legislative proposals for establishing a special unit to combat corruption and organized crime, which was a key campaign promise by the Democratic Party. While the prosecutor’s office presented potential legal reforms, the minister stated he was not yet ready to share details on these matters. Both parties acknowledged the need for continued collaboration to address systemic inefficiencies.

Bias read (Center): While the article discusses politically sensitive topics such as judicial reform and anti-corruption measures, the framing remains balanced. It presents both the minister’s and the prosecutor’s perspectives without overtly favoring either side. The focus is on the process and outcomes of the meeting

"Political police" of non-government clowns

The article discusses concerns over 'political police' tactics by leftist non-governmental actors, referencing past misuse of parliamentary investigations during previous mandates. It highlights criticism of former governing coalitions for using parliamentary inquiries to target media outlets like Nova24TV and Demokracija, leading to legal challenges and public scrutiny. The piece emphasizes that current legislative reforms aim to address these issues by removing anomalies that allowed previous authorities to manipulate processes, such as allowing members of the opposition party Svoboda to lead investigations into the affairs of businessman Robert Golob.

Bias read (Left): The article frames the issue as a critique of past leftist governance and current reforms aimed at preventing abuse of parliamentary inquiry mechanisms. While it acknowledges historical abuses, it positions current legislative changes as necessary corrections, aligning more closely with progressive/
