According to reports from Die Zeit, the situation in North Rhine-Westphalia has seen a reduction in severe weather threats following an unsettled night marked by powerful thunderstorms. The German Weather Service (DWD) noted that early morning thunderstorms with heavy rain, gusty winds, and small hailstones were still possible in the southeast. These storms gradually moved eastward during the first half of the day, allowing for clearer skies from the northwest. Daytime high temperatures ranged between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius, with generally dry conditions prevailing. Light to moderate winds blew from western to northwest directions.

During the night leading into Tuesday, the sky remained largely clear and free of rain, with temperatures dropping to between 17 and 14 degrees Celsius. Fog was possible in certain locations, reducing visibility below 150 meters. On Tuesday, the weather started off bright and cloudy, with summer-like warmth reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius. However, by the afternoon, isolated showers and thunderstorms returned. These could intensify overnight into Wednesday, potentially bringing heavy rain and stormy gusts once again.
