DevReporting, in collaboration with the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), has launched a training and story grant program for journalists in Osun State, Nigeria, ahead of the 2026 governorship election. The initiative, funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy through CJID’s Local Media Sustainability Fund, aims to enhance accountability journalism focusing on governance, transparency, public finance, and service delivery. This comes amid a prolonged leadership crisis affecting Osun’s 30 local government areas and the Modakeke Area Council. Selected journalists will participate in workshops on investigative reporting, receive editorial mentorship, and be eligible for grants to produce evidence-based stories.
