Darko Jorgić, najboljši slovenski namiznoteniški igralec, je bil izbran kot četrti nosilec na evropskem prvenstvu v Stožicah, ki bo potekalo med 11. in 18. oktobrom. Jorgić je v septembru zmagovito začel svoj nastop na svetovni seriji v Astani, kjer je premagal kitajskega kvalifikanta Jingbina Šuja.
