Danantara Indonesia, a state-owned enterprise, is enhancing collaboration among national companies to bolster the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDKMP), which aim to serve as integrated hubs for rural commerce, finance, and essential goods distribution. The initiative seeks to improve access to banking, logistics, and basic necessities by consolidating various public services within a unified rural framework. Key partners include Pertamina Patra Niaga, Pupuk Indonesia, and other state-owned entities. As of July, 15,845 KDKMP facilities had been constructed, with plans to launch nationwide operations in August. The goal is to operate 40,000 KDKMPs by the end of 2026, supporting Indonesia's strategy to boost rural economic development.
