GRCyprus is preparing a new targeted electric vehicle (EV) promotion program set to begin in 2027. The Cypriot market has seen an increase in EV availability and affordability, alongside rising fuel costs, which have encouraged more consumers to consider electric cars. Between December 2021 and November 2025, approximately €49 million was allocated through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for electromobility efforts, benefiting around 6,203 individuals. The market share of electric vehicles rose slightly to 4.9% in the first half of 2025, up from 4.8% the previous year.
