Cordoba led the Aprender 2025 Tests: Llaryora recognized teachers and announced incentives

Córdoba province led the Pruebas Aprender 2025 results, surpassing the national average by 5.5 percentage points in Language and 9.3 percentage points in Mathematics. Governor Martín Llaryora presided over a ceremony recognizing teachers and school administrators at the Teatro del Libertador General San Martín. He emphasized the province's commitment to achieving global educational standards and acknowledged the efforts of educators and students. The Pruebas Aprender 2025 assessed sixth-grade students in Reading Comprehension and Mathematical Problem Solving. In Córdoba, 52,398 students from 1,724 schools participated, with a coverage rate of 99% of schools and 88% of students. The evaluation showed improvements in both subjects compared to previous years. In Language, 82.4% of students achieved Satisfactory or Advanced levels, up from 74.7% in 2023, representing a 7.7 percentage point increase. The proportion of students below Basic level decreased from 8.3% to 3.2%. In Mathematics, 64.3% reached the expected levels, improving from 62.9% previously, with more students achieving the Advanced level. Governor Llaryora stated that these results reflect a sustained educational policy and the dedication of the entire school community. He highlighted initiatives such as expanding early childhood education to three years old, extending school hours, providing connectivity in rural schools, distributing books and computers, training teachers, and investing in educational infrastructure. He described the achievement as a goal for both Córdoba and Argentina, noting that improved performance in the province contributes to better national indicators. The Ministry of Education report identified key challenges for future years, including strengthening inferential, critical, and reflective reading skills, improving mathematical problem-solving abilities, deepening work on fractions, decimals, and proportionality, and reinforcing geometric reasoning and procedural arguments. The evaluation also showed significant improvements in state-managed schools and reduced performance gaps among students from vulnerable socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly in Language. During the ceremony, school directors praised the recognition. Graciela Romero, director of the Escuela Teniente General Pablo Ricchieri, noted that the results reflect the effort and commitment of the teaching staff. Yamila Marasca from the Escuela Fray Justo Santa María de Oro stated that the recognition acknowledges the daily work of teachers and students. Norma Rodríguez from the Centro Educativo España said the achievement shows that Córdoba is moving in the right direction and that its experience strengthens Argentine education. The governor’s emphasis on continuous improvement and investment in educational resources underscores the province’s focus on enhancing learning outcomes for all students.
