A Croatian parliamentary representative from the Homeland Movement party has publicly accused Milorad Pupovac, president of the Serbian Democratic Party of Serbia (SDSS) and a member of the Croatian parliament, of complicity in the disappearance of wartime defenders and the failure to uncover the fate of Dr. Ivan Šreter, a prominent Croat physician and peacemaker who vanished during the war in 1991. The accusation was made through a detailed Facebook post by Stipo Mlinarić Ćipe, a member of the Croatian Parliament representing the Homeland Movement. In his post, Mlinarić accused Pupovac of silence regarding the missing Croatian defenders and the unresolved fate of Dr. Šreter. He wrote that as the leader of the Serb National Council, which represented rebellious Serbs during the process of peaceful reintegration, Pupovac had done nothing to encourage his fellow countrymen to share information about the missing Croatian defenders. Mlinarić emphasized the historical question that echoes around Pupovac: “Where are the graves? Where are the cemeteries? Where are the mass graves of my comrades?” The post continued with a series of serious allegations against Pupovac, including accusations of conspiracy, suppression of truth, and crimes against humanity.
