Canada on the super fighter Gcap, Crosetto: 'Responding to Russia and China'

The Canadian government has joined the Global Combat Air Programme (Gcap) as an observer, marking its formal entry into a joint initiative involving the United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan aimed at developing a sixth-generation stealth fighter jet. The announcement was made during a defense ministers' meeting held in London, hosted by the newly formed British government under Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
