The Bulgarian was putting skimmers on the ATMs.

A 55-year-old Bulgarian national was arrested by police in Dubrovnik on suspicion of committing multiple crimes related to stealing data from bank cards. He is accused of installing 'skimming' devices on ATMs to illegally obtain users' data and PIN codes. The devices were made in an apartment he rented in Dubrovnik between May 16 and July 14. Police found over 80 items linked to these criminal activities during a search of his apartment. The suspect has been placed in custody, and the investigation continues. Authorities advise citizens to check for unusual parts on ATMs and to cover the keypad when entering PINs.
