Bournemouth has signed Portugal international Antonio Silva from Benfica for approximately £26 million ($35 million), strengthening their defense. The 22-year-old replaces Marcos Senesi, who moved to Tottenham on a free transfer. Silva, who made 235 appearances for Benfica and won the Portuguese Primeira Liga title in 2022-23, joins Bournemouth ahead of their Premier League campaign starting on August 23. He was also part of the Portugal team that won the Nations League last year.
