I'd like to strengthen the military industry, double production in three years

The military industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is strengthening its capacities to participate equally in international markets and support national security, according to officials from the Federation of BiH government. With support from local authorities, the 'First Balkan Shield 2026' arms and military equipment exhibition was organized in Sarajevo, featuring companies from Slovenia, China, Turkey, Egypt, and BiH itself. Among the exhibits were various types of weapons primarily intended for infantry and drones, with mass production planned in BiH. The Sarajevo-based Center for Advanced Technologies has developed four drone models, including one with a wingspan of 5.4 meters capable of carrying up to 30 kilograms. A new assault rifle produced by AC Unity from Gorazde was also showcased, designed to NATO standards and currently undergoing testing. Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, announced further investments in the military industry, emphasizing its economic and strategic importance. He stated that the purposeful industry is part of BiH’s security, industrial, and development policies, highlighting the need for stability, capability, and serious伙伴关系.
