Bangkok banana cake shop Bake It Babe to open cafe at VivoCity

Bangkok-based Thai bakery Bake It Babe is set to open its first standalone cafe in Singapore at VivoCity on July 31, offering a range of banana cakes and Thai teas. Unlike its previous Singapore outlets focused on takeaway, the new location includes a dine-in area with seating for 16 people. The cafe will feature signature items such as the Thai Banana Cake, along with new flavors like Peanut Butter Banana Cake and Chocolate Banana Cake, which were initially exclusive to a Jewel Changi Airport pop-up. The venue also serves seven unique Thai-inspired beverages, some of which are available exclusively at this location. Founded by Thai couple Tarn and Oak in 2019, the brand began as a side hustle inspired by a homemade banana cake recipe and has since grown to sell over 250,000 boxes annually.
