The national second-league team, Balinarski klub Cesta, organized a 24-hour international balina marathon this year with the support of eight sponsors who provided financial and practical prizes. The event took place at a covered balina court near the village, offering participants suitable spaces for food, hygiene, and rest. Sixteen teams from Slovenia and Croatia participated, competing first in four preliminary groups and then in elimination matches starting from the quarterfinals. Top-tier sponsored teams, partly composed of first-league players and representatives, dominated the competition. The winning team was Kou ti jst, who defeated Sirena Janc team 11:8 in the final. The bronze medal went to the Croatian team Fiumani, which beat Za las team 15:6. Other teams ranked below included Stella fellas, Nanos, Frigo transport, and others. Spectators were able to watch some internationally recognized Primorska balina players, including former world champions and medalists in various categories. The next balina tournament in Primorska will be Postojna Open, taking place from July 24 to 26, where local and foreign teams of youth and member pairs will compete.
