Bali, NTB, NTT enhance food supply collaboration to curb inflation

Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya highlighted the need for enhanced collaboration between Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to manage food supply and control inflation. He noted that while these provinces have strong economic potential due to tourism, food production, and MSMEs, they face common challenges such as poor connectivity affecting logistics and production. Interregional cooperation allows surplus regions to support those with shortages, and the integration of IT tools to monitor price trends was emphasized. Preservation of agricultural land was also identified as a long-term goal. Bali Regional Secretary Dewa Indra added that the provinces rely on each other for food supplies, citing examples like NTB's role in producing shallots and garlic.
