MXA 28-year-old man was severely injured after being attacked with a sharp object in the area of Tepito market, located in the Morelos colony within the Cuauhtémoc borough. The incident occurred early Monday, August 3, on Calle Libertad, near the intersection with Jesús Carranza. According to initial reports, a person in a priority situation assaulted a pedestrian walking through one of the stalls selling goods. Upon arrival, personnel from the City Security Secretary (SSC) secured the area and gathered information about the suspect, who allegedly fled the scene. Paramedics from the Rescue and Emergency Medical Squad (ERUM) provided pre-hospital care, diagnosing two penetrating wounds on the right hand and seven additional injuries on the neck, left hand, cheek, and shoulder. The victim was transported to General Rubén Leñero Hospital for specialized treatment.
