SloveniaThe Slovenian ensemble Juhej has expanded to become a six-member group with the addition of singer Anita Plazl. The group, originally from Koroška, decided to include Plazl after being invited to perform at the Alpine Evening, where they felt a new direction was needed. Plazl brought fresh energy and inspiration to the group, contributing to their recent recording of a new polka titled 'Nič ne vidiš, nič ne slišiš.' The lyrics were written by Anžet Zavrl, while the music and arrangement were composed by the band's bassist Simon Tavčar. The song was recorded in the studio of Tadej Mihelič. Additionally, Plazl performed her debut song 'Sem Graškogorčanka' at the 50th edition of the Graška Gora Festival, which she is connected to through her father, Dragi Plazl, a long-time organizer and president of the Cultural Society. The song was originally written for the ensemble Boom over 20 years ago but has now been adapted for Juhej's quintet by Luka Krof. The ensemble plans to record more new songs for the upcoming season.
