ANEM: Unequal remuneration of members of the commission for project financing of the media - from 5,000 to 70,000 dinars

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) reported that honorariums paid to members of commissions evaluating applications for project funding in media content this year were inconsistent, ranging from 5,000 to 70,000 dinars regardless of the number of projects they assessed. The total amount spent on these honoraria was at least 9.6 million dinars. Some commissions, such as those under the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications for internet media, received up to 70,000 dinars for assessing 298 projects, while others, like in Vojvodina, received 50,000 dinars for reviewing 177 projects. There were significant disparities across different regions and ministries, with some areas receiving as little as 5,000 dinars for 12 proposals. Additionally, 34 decisions did not specify honorarium amounts, and 12 decisions were not published on the Unified Information System (JIS) or the websites of the relevant authorities.
