SerbiaAn inspection of food products, primarily dairy items and vegetables, conducted at Kragujevac markets has confirmed their safety and compliance with health standards. During June, the JKP Šumadija Kragujevac, in collaboration with the Institute for Public Health Kragujevac, carried out a regular check as part of the annual program for monitoring food quality at city markets. The inspection included samples of cheese and kaymak for microbiological testing, as well as tomato and cucumber samples tested for pesticide and heavy metal residues. Additionally, 10 cleaning samples from refrigerated display cases at the Centar and Aerodrom markets were collected to assess hygiene standards during the sale of dairy and perishable goods. Results showed all cheese and kaymak samples were microbiologically compliant, while no pesticide residues or heavy metals were detected in the vegetable samples.
