Today, Subotić is the founder and CEO of WestPac Wealth Partners, a successful financial firm. In a statement to the club's website, he expressed his desire to invest in European football, citing Mura’s rich tradition, passionate fan base, deep local connections, and potential academy as key factors in his decision. The arrival of Subotić marks the end of an unsuccessful era under former coach George Junčaj.
