His final communication arrived around 2 a.m., in which he wrote, “This guy is getting rowdy, LOL.” Iva Mo expressed concern when Wilkin did not send his customary early-morning greeting. She noted that he had consistently sent her a message each morning saying, “Good morning, love.” When these messages ceased, she grew worried. Her distress intensified when Wilkin’s body was discovered in the mangroves shortly after 6 a.m. by a passerby walking along the beach, as reported by local outlet Tele 11. Despite ongoing efforts, police have not made any arrests in connection with the case. Iva Mo speculated that the murder might have occurred during an attempted robbery, though no evidence has been presented to support this theory. Friends and family members have criticized the Puerto Rican police force for their lack of progress in the investigation. “I don’t know why someone would take his entire future away in just a split second,” Mo said, expressing her anguish over the circumstances surrounding Wilkin’s death. “It doesn’t make sense.
