Alpacem Cement has supported 98 local projects with a quarter of a million euros

Alpacem Cement has allocated €250,000 to support 98 local projects across Slovenia. The majority of the funds, 61 percent, were directed toward initiatives in the municipality of Kranjska Gora, with the remaining distributed to organizations in the City Municipality of Nova Gorica, Tolmin, and Bled. The supported projects span a wide range of activities, including sports programs, cultural events, tourism-related activities, health, social, and humanitarian initiatives, as well as programs for veterans and retirees. Additionally, funding was provided to community-based groups, youth organizations, parishes, fishing and hunting clubs, campers, and other local entities. According to the distribution, 62 percent of the total amount was allocated to programs benefiting all age groups, 25 percent to children and young people, and 13 percent to older adults. The initiative reflects Alpacem Cement’s commitment to fostering sustainable development and strengthening ties with local communities. Dr. Tomaz Vuk, chairman of the board of directors, emphasized that the company believes its success is intrinsically linked to the development of the environment in which it operates. “We want to be more than just a successful business, we want to be a responsible and long-term partner of the local community,” he stated. He added that the call for proposals ensured transparency and uniformity for all applicants.
