A luxury yacht valued at over eight million euros sank off the coast of Sardinia near the Costa Smeralda on Tuesday. The 30-meter-long vessel, named 'Angiola II,' went down between the islands of Cappuccini and Capo Ferro after a motor failure led to a fire in the engine room. The new Italian owner had taken possession of the yacht just four days prior. All 14 people onboard, guests and crew members, were safely rescued without injuries. The boat was secured by nearby private boats and brought to the village of Poltu Quatu. The owner remained on site while waiting for maritime authorities. The wreck now lies approximately seven meters deep and has been cordoned off to prevent potential pollution. Authorities are monitoring the area until a specialized recovery team arrives.
