Abia State Governor Alex Otti has paid ₦25 million toward the hospital bills of veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu, fulfilling a promise made after she appealed for financial assistance to cover life-saving surgeries. The payment was confirmed by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Martins Justice, who posted the update on social media on Thursday. According to Justice, the funds were transferred before the end of work on Wednesday, marking the second phase of support for Nwosu's medical treatment. Nwosu, 62, had previously shared a video on her Instagram page revealing she had been hospitalized for three weeks and required ₦30 million to undergo three critical procedures. In the video, she expressed her vulnerability, stating that her condition had worsened beyond her control and pleading with her fans, family, and colleagues to help her avoid death.
