Fast forward to 2026, Imran’s alleged actions escalated once more. Police stated that Imran had known Muskan for approximately 18 months after they met at the gym where he worked as a trainer. On July 18, Muskan visited a police station to report harassment by Imran but did not file a formal complaint. Investigators noted that Imran had a history of substance abuse and was sent to a de-addiction center. However, he was released on July 30 after allegedly injuring himself there. On August 26, Imran allegedly arrived at Muskan’s residence while she was alone. An argument ensued, leading to Imran stabbing her multiple times with a knife before fleeing the scene. Police further indicated that Imran may have taken Muskan’s iPhone to attempt to erase digital evidence, including messages and chats. Following the murder, authorities launched a widespread search for Imran, deploying over 15 police teams to track his movements. Imran was eventually located near the sub-registrar’s office in Rajouri Garden on Thursday. Upon attempts to arrest him, Imran allegedly opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response from police. Imran fired four shots, while officers returned seven, three of which struck him in the legs. He was subsequently hospitalized and arrested.
