Marius Høiby, son of Norwegian princess Mette-Marit, has been sentenced to four years in prison for two instances of sexual assault and domestic violence. He must also pay approximately €58,000 in damages. He was acquitted of two other sexual assaults. The trial lasted seven weeks and heard testimony from seventy witnesses, including four women who claimed they were sexually assaulted by Høiby while asleep or otherwise unable to resist. Høiby denied all charges, claiming the sex was consensual and stating he did not realize the women were asleep when he took videos of them.
