3.77m travelers expected to go through Incheon Airport in 2 weeks

Incheon International Airport in South Korea expects around 3.77 million travelers to pass through between July 25 and August 10, averaging approximately 222,000 per day. Officials noted that the peak daily traffic is anticipated on August 2, with 234,272 users, primarily driven by an influx of foreign visitors during the summer months. This represents a 1.9% increase compared to the same period last year. To manage the higher volume, the airport has introduced several measures including expanding the waiting area for international visitors, installing 99 information boards, testing multilingual kiosks, opening departure gates 30 minutes early, increasing the number of CT scanners, and expanding smart pass gates for faster immigration processing. Additional parking spaces and shuttle services have also been added to accommodate travelers.
