The 24-year-old who hijacked the plane and caused the panic doesn't remember anything.

A 24-year-old man caused a dramatic incident in Hungary by illegally taking off in a small Cessna 172 aircraft from Kalocsa Airport, approximately 100 kilometers south of Budapest. The flight drew attention from military radars as it entered restricted airspace near the Paks nuclear power plant. In response, the military sent two fighter jets to intercept the plane. Shortly after takeoff, the young man made an emergency landing on a sunflower field near the town of Gerjen, about 15 kilometers from Paks. After exiting the plane, he attempted to flee but was stopped by a passing driver who tried to assist him. The man then got into the car and tried to drive away, but the driver prevented him. Police soon arrived and arrested him. During questioning, the man claimed he was too drunk to remember stealing the plane or any subsequent events. Additional tests are being conducted to determine if he consumed alcohol or other prohibited substances.
