The article discusses the growing pressure on German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann following Germany's early elimination from the World Cup. Fans are calling for his resignation after three consecutive failures to advance past the first round in major tournaments. Nagelsmann has rejected calls to step down, stating he is committed to his role if the German Football Association (DFB) supports him. Meanwhile, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted at potential interest in taking over the national team role, though he currently prioritizes his duties as Global Head of Football at Red Bull. The DFB has not yet signaled any plans to replace Nagelsmann, but speculation about a potential change in leadership is expected to grow in the coming weeks.

Më shumë se një verdikt për katër ish-krerët e UÇK-së

The article discusses the upcoming judicial ruling by the Special Courts in The Hague regarding four former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK): Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi. These individuals are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during and immediately after the Kosovo War in 1998–1999. The court initially had until May 19 to issue a verdict but extended the deadline to August 2026 due to the complexity of the case. The Special Courts indicated that further delays might occur if deemed necessary. All four defendants have been in custody since November 2020, facing charges of being part of a 'criminal enterprise' aimed at gaining control through intimidation, mistreatment, and expulsion. Victims included Serbs, Roma, and Albanians who did not support the UÇK. Prosecutors requested 45 years of imprisonment for each defendant based on their leadership roles. Thaçi has rejected the accusations, calling them entirely false and absurd, and criticized the prosecutors for attempting to discredit high-ranking officials from NATO, the United States, Britain, and the OSCE who were present during the conflict.

Arsenal are bidding almost 60 million pounds for the player that Saka had called "one of the best"

Arsenal has intensified preparations for defending their Premier League title and is targeting several players during the summer transfer window. After securing a victory against Crystal Palace in the final match of the season, manager Mikel Arteta has focused on strengthening both defense and midfield. Among potential targets are Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi and PSG's Bradley Barcola, who could replace Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Additionally, Arsenal has shown interest in Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa, a versatile defender who has been praised by teammate Bukayo Saka as 'one of the best in the Premier League.' Konsa, who has recorded a 95% accuracy rate in Premier League matches and played every minute for England in the World Cup qualifiers, is seen as a realistic option for Arsenal. While the club has also expressed admiration for another Villa player, Morgan Rogers, the cost of signing him would be significantly higher. Konsa's potential move would mark a major investment for Arsenal, aiming to bolster their defensive capabilities.

In the tropical Pacific, El Niño conditions have set in, researchers say.

The article reports that researchers from New Zealand’s Earth Sciences organization (ESNZ) have identified conditions consistent with the El Niño climate phenomenon in the tropical Pacific. They warn that impacts on New Zealand’s weather are likely to intensify over the coming months. The ESNZ joined other organizations in Australia, Japan, and the U.S. in confirming the development of El Niño, which is expected to reach strong intensity between July and September. The effects are projected to peak during the Southern Hemisphere summer, spanning late 2023 into early 2024. According to lead researcher Chris Brandolini, this El Niño event is at least comparable in strength to five of the strongest recorded El Niños in modern history. The article outlines regional rainfall expectations, noting potential below-average precipitation in some areas and above-normal levels in others. It also mentions possible temperature fluctuations and increased wind variability later in the year. Additionally, it notes two lower-probability risks: sudden stratospheric warming and the occurrence of a tropical cyclone outside the typical season, both historically linked to El Niño. Brandolini connects the

Irish Presidency to Express: We will support progress towards EU and Kosovo condition of implementation of reforms

The article reports on Ireland's stance during its presidency of the Council of the European Union, focusing on its support for EU enlargement and the progress of Kosovo's accession bid. While Ireland expressed strong backing for EU expansion as a geostrategic investment for peace and stability in Europe, it did not provide concrete commitments regarding Kosovo's specific application for membership. The Irish presidency emphasized supporting all candidate and potential candidate countries, including Kosovo, provided they meet the necessary conditions and implement required reforms. However, the article notes that Kosovo's file has remained stagnant since its submission in December 2022, despite changes in presidencies and varying levels of recognition from neighboring states. Ireland also outlined plans to expedite negotiations with successful candidates like North Macedonia and other Balkan nations, while maintaining a broader focus on regional cooperation.

Fashion for the weekend in Kosovo and Albania

Unstable air masses caused intense storms over the past few days, leading to problems and material damage in some areas. These air masses are now weakening and moving away from the region. Temperatures have dropped noticeably after a short but strong tropical wave. With the arrival of fresher air masses, there will be no significant temperature increases despite atmospheric stabilization. This applies to continental regions, while coastal areas of Albania will be quite warm this weekend, though not extremely hot. From now on, clouds will gradually retreat, bringing gradual and complete atmospheric stabilization, although fresh breezes will occasionally cool us during the weekend, without any precipitation. Saturday will be characterized by sunshine and local clouds, covering more parts of Kosovo, northern Albania, and parts of North Macedonia. Rarely, some areas might experience brief showers or thunderstorms. In Albania, there will be more sunshine and fewer clouds in continental areas. Maximum temperatures in Kosovo will be around 27 or 28 degrees Celsius, while in southern Albania they will exceed 30 degrees Celsius. Sunday will be somewhat similar, with more sunshine and fewer,

The layoffs include vice presidents and directors.

The reorganization of the North Macedonian government is expected to extend beyond ministers to include deputy ministers, directors, and deputy directors of state institutions, according to government sources. Some ministries will appoint new deputy ministers due to changes among coalition partners, while others will replace current deputy ministers based on performance evaluations. A large number of directors and deputy directors in public institutions are under review, with the goal of improving efficiency and promoting higher-performing personnel. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has indicated that the restructuring will affect both the cabinet and leadership levels within state institutions. Both VMRO-DPMNE and VLEN have announced new names for the government composition, including proposals for new ministers. Changes are also anticipated in key areas proposed by VMRO-DPMNE, with the restructuring expected to bring waves of appointments and dismissals across various levels of state institutions.
