Die Ausstellung Ariane Herceg eröffnet den zweiten Teil der LINK IN ART.

The second exhibition of this year’s LINK IN ART 12 series opened on Thursday, July 17, at the Decumanus Gallery in Krk. The opening began at 8 p.m., featuring the work of young Croatian painter Ariana Herceg. The exhibition, titled Beskraj, marks the second of three exhibitions under the overarching theme “Return to Organic, New Expressionism,” organized by the Cultural Center of the City of Krk. The project LINK IN ART 12 aims to connect contemporary artistic practices through shared thematic focus. This year’s cycle includes the exhibition Beskraj by Ariana Herceg, alongside the current exhibition Ješka by Natalija Borčić, and will conclude with Liminal Space by American sculptor Jonathan M. Davis, which is set to open at the beginning of August. The exhibitions collectively explore themes of organic forms and expressive techniques, reflecting a broader movement within modern art towards emotional and physical authenticity. Ariana Herceg draws inspiration from nature, interpreting elements such as the sea, forest, and sky through an expressive painting style. Her works emphasize color, rhythm, and texture, with particular attention given to varying shades of blue. These hues serve as a medium for conveying a sense of infinity and personal emotional states. Her approach combines visual storytelling with abstract interpretation, creating a dialogue between the viewer and the artwork. Herceg graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows both domestically and internationally in recent years. The exhibition Beskraj is open daily except Sundays until August 6.
