Gabriela Renaudo has taken over as president of AmCham Argentina, succeeding Mariana Schoua. The organization renewed its board leadership and appointed Renaudo, who serves as Group Country Manager for the Southern Cone of Visa, as its new president. This transition marks the end of Schoua’s tenure, which began in June 2025, making her the first woman to hold the position since the institution's founding over a century ago. The change occurs within one of the most influential business organizations linking Argentina with the United States. AmCham Argentina currently represents more than 700 companies spanning 42 industries, collectively accounting for 24% of Argentina’s GDP, 39% of tax revenue, 35% of imports, and 45% of exports. According to data from the chamber itself, member firms generate over 420,000 direct jobs and approximately four million indirect employment positions. As she assumes leadership, Renaudo emphasized the importance of advancing competitiveness, investment, and sustainable development. She expressed pride in representing the country’s most prominent business community, highlighting their commitment to national development. She stated that sustained growth depends on solid institutions, dialogue, and long-term vision, and that the chamber will continue working to strengthen competitiveness and attract new investments. Her priorities align with ongoing initiatives focused on key sectors such as agriculture, energy, mining, innovation, health, international trade, and tourism. Additionally, the chamber aims to enhance its regional presence through AmCham Región Centro, a platform connecting businesses in Córdoba, Mendoza, San Juan, and San Luis with international markets. Mariana Schoua concluded her term expressing deep gratitude and pride in the chamber’s progress. She noted the expansion of the organization’s influence and its role as a critical space for dialogue among private sector, public authorities, and civil society. Schoua stressed that strong institutions endure beyond individual leaders, transcending personal contributions. The new executive committee includes several notable figures. Martin Genesio of AES Argentina serves as first vice-president, while Luis Enrique Guastini of ManpowerGroup Argentina holds the second vice-presidency. Facundo Gómez Minujín of JPMorgan is secretary, and Juan Farinati of Bayer is treasurer. Other members include Sebastian Wodka of SC Johnson, Lorena Zicker of Amazon Web Services, Milagros Argüello of Boston Scientific, Fernando Garcia Cozzi of Cargill, Maria Eugenia Tibessio of DuPont, and Guillermo Malm Green of Bons & Salas. AmCham Argentina, with over a century of presence in the country, recently held its annual gathering, drawing participation from entrepreneurs, officials, and opposition figures. The organization continues to play a pivotal role in shaping economic policy and fostering collaboration between the private and public sectors. As Renaudo begins her tenure, the focus remains on sustaining growth, promoting investment, and reinforcing Argentina’s position in global markets.
