Schwimmmeister, born in 1987, grew up in the Elbtower districts of Hamburg. At 17, he decided to become a court reporter. After studying German literature, he attended a journalism school and began covering major cases that captured national attention. However, his career took a sharp turn in 2024 when the Association of Court Reporters accused him of deviating from established standards. In April 2026, he was formally charged. Now, three months later, Schwimmmeister sits quietly in the courtroom, his chin twitching slightly. He is the accused, according to the state prosecutor, but whether he is guilty remains to be determined.
